DRY FORK MINE CURRENT JOB OPENINGS

Duties:

  • Maintenance of all mobile and stationary equipment involved in mining coal.
  • Responsible for safe work practices in the field and shop; compliance with all policies and regulations.
  • Flexible work habits; must respond on short notice to field calls and troubleshooting of equipment issues.
  • Maintain records, initiate computerized repair order procedures, warehouse and purchasing procedures.
  • Equipment cleaning and washing, as well as fuel and service tasks.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in maintaining large earth moving equipment is preferred.
  • Should possess the required minimum of tools for use on the job.
  • Must be able to operate mine equipment for testing and maneuvering.

Conditions:

  • Rotating 12-hour shifts, or other schedules subject to change.
  • Overtime and call-out as required.
  • Any and all weather and temperature conditions in addition to wet, muddy, dusty, and dirty conditions will be experienced.
  • Any and all conditions associated with equipment maintenance and repair in addition to handling and working with mine and equipment parts and materials.

Duties:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs throughout the plant.
  • Perform train loading and related tasks.
  • Perform required inspections.
  • Responsible for safe work practices throughout the plant; compliance with all policies and regulations.
  • Flexible work habits; must respond on short notice to assist with loading trains, cleaning the hopper, and troubleshooting of equipment issues.
  • Maintain records and follow warehouse and purchasing procedures.
  • Participate in improvement and change initiatives.
  • Wash-down of the plant to meet federal, state, and company standards and general housekeeping.
  • Assist with pit activities and related tasks including equipment operation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Other duties as assigned.
